ULTRA-LOW POWER CONSUMPTION RELAY WITH PIEZO-ACTUATOR

Abstract:
THIS PAPER DESCRIBES THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RELAY CONFIGURATION AND THE SWITCH MECHANISM REQUIRED IN THE CASE WHERE THE PIEZOELECTRIC-BIMORPH IS EMPLOYED AS AN ACTUATOR, AND FURTHER DESCRIBES COUNTERMEASURES OF THE RELAY PRODUCED BY THE CREEP AND HYSTERESIS CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PIEZOELECTRIC-BIMORPH, AND ALSO REPORT WILL BE MADE ON THE RESULTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE COILLESS RELAY SINCE IT HAS REACHED THE LEVEL OF PRACTICAL USE.
