Abstract:
THE 3M-23A THERMOELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY IS A SYSTEM CONSISTING OF A KEROSENE FUELED THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR AND A DETACHABLE 5.6 AMP-HOUR NICKEL-CADMIUM BATTERY PACK. THE THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR IS CAPABLE OF POWER OUTPUTS FROM 45 TO 85 WATTS AT 12 VOLTS BY VARYING FUELED INPUT PRESSURE. COOLING IS PROVIDED BY A FORCED AIR SYSTEM UTILIZING A PORTION OF THE THERMOPILE OUTPUT TO POWER THE FAN. THE BATTERY PACK CONTAINS TEN SONOTONE SIZE F CELLS AND A BATTERY CHARGE SENSING CIRCUIT TO PREVENT OVER-CHARGING.
